Join us on June 19, 2014 at Noon for this month's topic: Sexting... and talking to young people about it. Over the past few years, 'sexting'-taking, sending, or receiving nude photographs via text-has gained mainstream attention. Amanda Rohdenburg from Voices Against Violence will provide information on how to talk to young people about this difficult and sometimes uncomfortable topic. Participants will learn the legal implications for youth in Vermont, as well as the cultural, developmental, and relational context of sexting in the lives of young people in rural communities. This presentation is appropriate for anyone who cares for preteens, teens and young adults.
This presentation is part of Northwestern Counseling & Support Services Grand Rounds brown bag series. To register call Rachael Cobb at 393-6406. Register today, space is limited. Please advise if any special accommodations are needed (wheelchair access, interpreters, etc.).
As a brown bag seminar please feel free to bring and enjoy your lunch during the presentation.
