Neighbors:

Huntington turned 250 last 6/7 and has been celebrating ever since. Our last event of the year will be held on our birthday, and we’ll be saying farewell to 250 and looking forward to our 251st year. Please come and enjoy the festivities. We will have musical acts performing throughout the day, locally sourced food to purchase, vendors and lots of fun games for all ages. Beginning at 12pm we’ll have a procession of kids and pet owners with their pets who want to participate in a contest. The kids will win prizes for their decorated birthday hats — all in a Vermont theme. Prizes go for most outlandish, most historical, and most creative. Kids may walk or ride their bikes. Pet owners and their pets who would like to compete for prizes in the categories most unique costume, most historical and best pet-owner look alike will also process. (You don’t have to be from Huntington to participate). At 1:45pm, test your strength and join us for tug of war — Huntingtonians on 1 side & visitors on the other. The weather looks to be sunny and warm, and the Huntington Fire Dept will provide refreshment from a hose for those young & old who want to cool off. For more information about the schedule, attending vendors and musicians see our website: http://250thfieldday.weebly.com/ or if you want to help, here’s where you can sign up: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0444A5AA29A02-community Come join us in beautiful Huntington Center on the Rec Field & be part of history as we gather memories videotape & photos for our time capsule.
