I'm Brenda Churchill, candidate for Vermont House in the Franklin-6 district, which includes Fairfield, Bakersfield and Fletcher. I'd like to invite everyone to my campaign kickoff on Sunday, June 5 at the Meeting House on the Green in East Fairfield.

I'm a 30-year resident of Bakersfield where I serve on the Select Board, as zoning administrator and ARPA funds administrator, and as an elected justice of the peace. I've also spent years as an advocate in the Vermont Statehouse, so I know how to get things done in Montpelier.

I look forward to meeting all the residents of Franklin-6, and I hope to earn your support. In the coming months I'll be traveling the district, getting to know you and your concerns. The kickoff is your chance to have a good time and get to know me.

The event will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. There will be music from the Missisquoi River Band, and a pizza oven will be making pies starting at 5:00, with proceeds benefiting the Fairfield Community Center. The Meeting House is at 53 School Street in East Fairfield; the kickoff will be outdoors if the weather permits, so you might want to bring a folding chair or blanket. If rain forces us to move inside the Meeting House, we'd ask that everyone be vaccinated and wear a mask inside.
