Join the Vermont Historical Society for a reception celebrating the opening of our new exhibit, One Room Schoolhouses. Featuring documentary photography by Diana Mara Henry and research and text by Margaret K. Nelson of MIddlebury College, this exhibit offers a glimpse into a time when students of every age and grade—and their teacher—gathered in a single room to learn.
The reception will have light refreshments, and Diana Mara Henry will speak briefly about her work and the background to the one room schoolhouses project.
One Room Schoolhouses comes to us courtesy of the Vermont Folklife Center.
The Vermont History Museum will also be open with free admission for Montpelier Art Walk from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
