Fathers and male mentors in our children’s lives should be celebrated! Good Beginnings of Central Vermont is hosting a FREE Father’s Day Canoeing Adventure at The Waterbury Reservoir on Sunday June 15th, 2014. The group will meet at the front entrance at 9:00 AM and canoe until 11:00 AM. Good Beginnings will be on the beach with refreshments and games. The entire family is welcome to stay for the day. The Canoeing Adventure will give fathers and male mentors an opportunity to be active outdoors while meeting other families within the community.

The Father’s Day Canoeing Adventure will also be the official kick-off to Good Beginnings’ newest initiative, Dare to Father. This is a fun, FREE challenge designed for men with children birth to 12 years of age. Fathers are asked to record everyday bonding activities they do with their children. A list of activities is provided according to the appropriate age. Completed task lists are submitted for the chance to win lots of fabulous prizes and all participants will receive a Dare to Father t-shirt. The challenge celebrates the important role fathers play in their children’s lives.
