As many of you know, Saturday, June 7, 2014, is the Poultney Town-wide Yard Sale, but did you know that it is also the date of the Champlain Valley Native Plant Restoration Nursery Open House? Did you even know that there was a Native Plant Nursery in Poultney, VT? We are located behind the college and will be open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday to discuss the best native plants to meet your streamside, lakefront, or backyard landscaping needs. We will also offer plant ID, invasive or otherwise, so feel free to bring clippings of the curious specimens in your area to identify and learn more about them. Local, native plants will be offered to the public at a discount to help raise awareness of our location and mission. Please come and visit us. We will also have a table on Main Street, near the College, with some of our plants and information. Partners in this venture include the Poultney Mettowee Natural Resources Conservation District, The Nature Conservancy, and Green Mountain College.
