Automobiles at Knight Point State Park motors in on Sunday, August 25 from 10 to 3. The Car Show is co-sponsored by the Islands Center at Knight Point State Park and the VT State Parks in association with Vermont Auto Enthusiasts. Featured events this year are spectator judging, vehicles of all kinds and flea market vendors with everything from food to “those things you have stored in your garage for old cars”. There will be prizes for the winning cars: Vermont State Park Prize is an overnight for two at Seyon Lodge, the Peoples’ Choice Award is an overnight for two with breakfast at Ransom Bay Inn in Alburgh, and the ICAR Award is a basket of maple products and wines from the Islands! The VFW and the Accidental Farmer will have a variety of food for sale.
There is still time to register a car for the show, or reserve vendor space for the Flea Market. Bring your own tables and tents. To register your car or for vendor space, call the Lake Champlain Islands Economic Development Corporation, 802-372-8400 or pick up a form at their North Hero office.
The annual Car Show is a project of the Islands Center at Knight Point State Park, a non-profit organization that provides programs in the Park during the summer months. The entrance fee is $5 per adult, kids under 12 free, and includes park admission. Don’t miss this opportunity to see automobile “survivors” of years past! Call 372-8400 for more information.
