The MAUSD Board will be holding a special meeting this Wednesday (6/1/22) night at Mt. Abe (and on Zoom - link included in agenda) from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Link for the agenda is below.

I know that this is a challenging time of year to tune into Board happenings (for very good reason when the weather is like this, summer vacation for our students is right around the corner, and so much has happened and is happening at the MAUSD Board level), however, if you can find the bandwidth I encourage you to at the least read the "Chair Notes" for the meeting - and the statement from the State Board of Education.

Since the State Board recently approved the formation of a Lincoln School District to be operational by July 1, 2023 - it has created a unique and awkward position for Sandy Lee and myself as Lincoln reps on the MAUSD Board. There will be discussion regarding our role moving forward as Board members, and I honestly do no know where it will land. This aside, agenda items C & D will be very interesting and unfortunate discussions that will lead to possible action taken by the Board. These items are the product of fallout from last week's Merger Study and MAUSD Board meeting (see Erin Warnock post from 5/25).
