We are moving ahead with great momentum to bring pollinator-friendly gardens and habitat to the new Pownal Town Hall site which will be planned, planted, and cared for by volunteers of all ages and experience levels. Through the Pownal Parks and Recreation Committee, the project recently received a grant from the Vermont Community Foundation's Spark Connecting Community grant program.
I'd like to warmly invite gardeners and gardening-curious neighbors to join me at the Town Hall to see the area we hope to plant first. Our mission for the meet-up will be to measure the area and begin to develop plant and materials lists. We'll also discuss timing and any ideas you have! Over time we hope to create educational and recreational events for all to enjoy. This project is just getting underway and we would love for anyone interested to join in.
Meet-Up: Tuesday evening, May 31st at 6:30pm
