Tracking and Naturalist Walk

Past event
Jun 5, 2022, 9 AM to 12 PM

Now that summer has begun, what's going on in the woodlands? Birds and animals and plants are busy. There's a world of life unfolding in our leafy forests, much that we might not notice.

Come join Fox Paw School instructor Jonathan Shapiro for an Animal Tracking and Naturalist walk on Sunday, June 5 from 9:00-noon on the Hardwick Trails. Jonathan knows the signs and what they tell. Who's track is that? What's that flower? What's the "back story" about where wildlife is hiding? Why does this plant grow here and not there? How is changing climate affecting life in this shady environment?

Bring curiosity and take home new ways to look at our landscape. Meet at the Hardwick Trails kiosk behind the Hazen Union School parking lot. This free Tracking and Naturalist Walk is sponsored by the Hardwick Conservation Commission.
