You are invited to join the congregation of Bethany Church this Sunday, May 29th, for a Service of Lament at 10 am. The service will acknowledge the sadness and hopelessness we are dealing with as a result of the recent school, church, and grocery store shootings, the threat of gun violence right here in Montpelier, and the losses of COVID through music, reading and prayer. No easy answers will be offered - this is simply a time for us to share our sadness as a community and to gather strength by being together. Part of the service will be a tolling of the church bell - even if you can't attend, if you hear the bell around 10:20 am, please take a moment to pause to remember all those whose lives have been lost.
