Brattleboro Area Open Studio Tour This Weekend!

Past event
May 28, 10 AM to 5 PM, May 29, 2022

This Memorial Day weekend, the Vermont Crafts Council will celebrate the 30th year of its Spring Open Studio Weekend, which spotlights the multitude of professional artists and craftspeople who live and create throughout the state.

In Brattleboro and neighboring West Brattleboro and Marlboro alone, tour-goers will have the chance to visit 15 artists in seven studios and one gallery during the event on May 28 and 29.

Of those artists, 14 are members of Brattleboro-West Arts, a group of about two dozen artists and crafters who have worked together since 2008 to support one another and increase the visibility of local art in the community. This year's spring tour will feature a collection of works by seven BWA members under one roof in the open-air pavilion adjacent to Orchard Street Pottery, the studio of Brattleboro-West Arts Coordinator Walter Slowinski.

Participating sites will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with many studios offering demonstrations as well as the opportunity to purchase art and talk to the artists who made it.
