Ukraine Benefit Concert featuring pianist Natasha Koval Paden in Middlebury
Wednesday, May 25, 7 p.m., St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, on the town green.
Born in Ukraine prior to World War II, Natasha Koval Paden, a gifted piano student, survived the horrors of war as a refugee. She was able to continue her studies with the help of the United Nations and church relief organizations. After coming to America in 1948, she continued her studies at the Mannes and Julliard Schools. Natasha has performed throughout the country and internationally, and has often directed her concerts to support social causes. In her St. Stephen's program, she will perform compositions by Polish composer Chopin, selected for their relevance to the present crisis in Ukraine.
A free-will offering will be received, all of which will go to www.razomforukraine.org. Masks are required.
