Just a reminder that the Ecuadorian Dinner and Silent Auction is on August 16th at 6:00 at the River Arts Center. The suggested donation is $20 and all proceeds will go towards paying for the semester with Kroka Expeditions I will be participating in this fall. It is an amazing opportunity, I am so grateful for the immense support I have been blessed with, and I hope you will join me on August 16th to enjoy good food and help make the final push to pay for this great adventure! Menu:
Ensalada mixta con aderezo de cilantro cal (fresh salad with cilantro lime dressing)
Empanadas:
frijol negro (black bean)
carne de res (beef)
Arroz con menestra de lentejas (lentil stew with rice)
Arroz con fritada de gallina (rice and a chicken dish made with beer, garlic, onion and cumin)
Flan de coco (coconut flan)
The Silent Auction will feature services and items from local businesses and community members including a scenic aerial tour of northern Vermont for two, a hill top pony ride, a XLC backpack with Scotchlite reflective material and Solstice WSD Bontrager helmet from Chuck's bikes, and needle felted designs from Heartbeet Lifesharing.
