Vermont Almanac: Stories Told From & For the Land is an evening of tales of Rural Vermont by 10 of the many dozens of authors featured in the recently published Vermont Almanac, Vol. II. Taking the stage to share their contributions will be Verandah Porche, Sydney Lea, Virginia Barlow, Paul Lefebvre, Shanta Lee Gander, Suzanne Opton, Sylvia Davatz, Scudder Parker, Chuck Wooster and Bill Torrey.

The evening will also feature live music by Turnip Truck, a five-piece acoustic-roots band that plays a mix of bluegrass, swing, gypsy jazz, old folk and country music. The band's members—who hail from Tunbridge, Royalton and Corinth—include Andy Mueller (fiddle, mandolin, guitar), Peter O'Connor (mandolin), Rudi Ruddell (guitar, harmonica), Brian Carroll (double bass, guitar), and Dave Richard (guitar, bass).
