About a year and a half ago, a beautiful, playful, uplifting song called Buck Up caught my ear. I looked into it, and discovered the delightful world of Carsie Blanton's musical catalog. Her press blurb describes a mixture of "mischief and moxie", which is a good start, but to those adjectives I would add insightful, hilarious, heartbreaking, subversive, quirky, independent and thought provoking. Also eclectic and sometimes electric. I could go on. . . (Good thing I wasn't tasked with writing her press blurb, eh?)

Anyway, imagine my utter delight at finding Carsie Blanton on Chandler's spring schedule. Right here in Randolph, Vermont! I strongly suggest checking out her music (lots of great videos on-line) and then coming out for the real deal live and in person next Saturday night. I predict if you do that you'll go home whistling and spend the following week smiling.
