Rokeby celebrates its season opening with a family-friendly sheep event.
In the early 1800's, sheep farming transformed the economy and landscape of Vermont. At Rokeby alone, the Robinson's Merino flock numbered at 1,500 sheep! come join us as we celebrate Vermont's agricultural heritage.
Activities include:
• Sheep from RambleBramble Farm
• Live music from The Youth Commission (Young Tradition Vermont) @1:00
• Spinning demonstrations with The Burroughs Garret
• Wool products for sale from Hands & Heart Farm
• Children's history talks, crafts & lawn games
• Storywalk on the Green Trail
• Tours of the historic house @11:00 and 2:00 (tickets required)
