Come to Kennedy Park(next to Blue Moon) on Saturday, May 28, at 9AM to help plant the downtown flower pots.
The Downtown Brandon Alliance (the DBA) is once again putting 45 large flower pots - the number is growing - downtown for the summer and fall seasons. Residents and visitors alike have come to depend on these colorful pots dressing up the downtown sidewalks.
We are starting at 9AM in Kennedy Park. Coffee and blueberry muffins will be there. Bring your work gloves and a trowel if you have one. Thanks to the public works dept. the pots will be waiting for us to plant with bright prolific annuals (a big thank you to Miller Hill Farm for guidance and sourcing the plant materials). Then they just need to go into place - probably finished before noon. If you can bring a 2-wheeler/hand truck to help make that go faster, please do!
Thank you volunteers who come out in such numbers each year to help with this "beauty pageant"!! Just another reason why Brandon is such a great little town!
And thank you to all those who send a check to help support this effort each year. If you would like to help, please make out your check to the "DBA" and mail it or drop off to me at 69 Park Street. I will acknowledge each contribution with a letter of thanks from the DBA. THANK YOU!
