Neighbors:
Calling all kids and young at heart, plus those pet owners who want to compete in a contest…on Saturday at the field day at 12pm, we will have a kids procession that will include the pet owner/pet costume procession. Children are invited to decorate a Huntington Birthday hat using Vermont as the theme, and wear this in a procession around the field. (children may walk or bike) Prizes will be awarded to the most creative, the most outlandish, the most historical in nature. At the same time, we’ll ask any pet owners and their pets who want to be part of our contest to process with their animal(s). Prizes will be awarded for most unique, best owner-pet look-alike, most historical costume. At 12:45pm children from Brewster Pierce will be invited to join the Swing Peepers on stage to sing a song they’ve written about Huntington.

There are still some volunteer slots available and some items we need to borrow. Please check out the sign up genius:

We’ve had mentions (2) in the Free Press Sunday paper, and Fox News Tuesday morning will have a mention. If you want to share details with friends from other towns, please share our website link. http://250thfieldday.weebly.com/

Weather looks to be perfect, so plan to come out & celebrate our beautiful rec field and the talents of your neighbors. One note, we will NOT be having a petting zoo as we had hoped, but still lots of other fun things!
