What better way to celebrate the end of the school year and beginning of summer than with a party! The Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department is launching their Summer Mash-Up series this year and its sure to be a blast!
The first installment of our 4 part series takes place on Saturday June 18th from 4:30 to 7:30 PM at the Fairfax Community Park (across from BFA Fairfax school). It is our Kids Edition segment and will include the Twirly Whirly from Big Blue Trunk, face painting by a volunteer student, games and our ninja course will be ready to go. We are also super excited to launch the new Gaga ball pit at the park, provided by Girl Scout Troop #51776.
In addition to all the kid fun, each Summer Mash-Up event will play host to food trucks, local craft and goods vendors and live music.
We will have food from KC's Red Hots, the Taco Truck, and ice cream from Paisley Scoops.
The following vendors will also be attending: Lyvabel BodyWorks, JoM Designs, Canning for a Cure, Serenity Wellness, BelleRose Organic Body Nourishment's LLC, Vermont Wilds, From The Roots Up Wellness & Massage, Bearded Ladies Goat Farm, Roots and Tides Massage and Yoga, S. Smith Ceramics, P.Tees (awesome tie dye), Red Shutter Art, Animal Art and More, Tassies Tasty Treats, Beaudoin Farm and so much more!!
With live music from Sooner or Later starting around 5:30, bring a chair and stay a while! Its sure to be a great time! And make sure to mark your calendars for the rest of the series: July 16th (Ducky Race), August 20th (Amazing Race), and September 17th (Fall Festival and Pet Parade).
