Investing locally is one way to keep money in the local economy. Cooperative businesses are another. And employee-owned businesses are yet another. Vermont's annual conference on employee ownership is coming up June 9. Matt Cropp, who serves as director of the Vermont Employee Ownership Center, will share some highlights—and I'll ask him about Vermont's smallest brewery, a cooperative brewery in the basement of the building VEOC's office is in.
