"Wild Sisters" Neighborhood Plant Walk

Past event
Jun 18, 2014

Might you be pulling weeds out of your vegetable garden that are more delicious and nutritious than the plants that you are carefully growing there?

Did you know that many common perennial plants have healing properties?

Have you been wanting to take part in an edible and medicinal wild plant walk for the past few years, and never found the time?

Now's your chance!

Take a walk through yards and gardens, down neighborhood streets, and over to Calahan Park with Melanie Brotz, an experienced and entertaining wild food guide, herbalist, and registered dietitian. Learn about the culinary plants growing wild all around us. And find out about herbal remedies you can make from plants growing right in your own back yard!

Time: 6:00 - 7:30 pm
Location: 44 Catherine Street, Burlington
