The Jericho Conservation Commission would like to invite you to attend a presentation by Jane Sorenson of Northeast Pollinator Plants at River Berry Farm in Fairfax, Vermont.
Where: Jericho Community Center
When: Thursday, May 19 at 6:30pm
Jane, a retired landscape architect, has been giving presentations on Landscape Design for Pollinators around the region, and teaching a course at the University of Vermont, offering a list of the best plants to provide pollinator foraging and nesting materials for the New England and New York. Her locally grown plants were featured in our recent pollinator plant sale to benefit the Community Center.
Jane will give expert tips on adding pollinator plants to our home landscapes. Embracing this practice is imperative due to the crisis facing our native pollinators. We can all do a small part to make a big difference and help create vital habitat for pollinators to help them withstand climate change, habitat loss, and other threats. By adding pollinator habitat to your home landscape you can join fellow Jericho residents as part of the Jericho Habitat Garden Network (https://jerichovt.org/backyard-habitat).
