Community Restorative Justice Circle

Past event
May 18, 2022, 6 to 7 PM

Join us on the third Wednesday of every month at the Winooski Memorial Library for our Community Restorative Justice Circle. Facilitated by Kayla Loving, Restorative Justice Coordinator at Spectrum Youth & Family Services, the circle is one of the most well-known restorative justice practices.

We will eat together and sit in circle to discuss current events happening in our community. This month's focus is about the results of the equity audit recently commissioned by the city of Winooski and you can read more about this work here: https://www.winooskivt.gov/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Item/5639?fileID=6697

If you have an interest in getting to know your neighbors on a deeper level, learning about restorative justice, and organizing for change, consider joining us. Everyone is welcome. Interpretation can be provided if we are notified ahead of time.

Our next meeting will be held at the Winooski Memorial Library on Wednesday, May 18th from 6 - 7 PM.

"Restorative justice is a philosophy and set of practices, rooted in indigenous teachings, that emphasize our interconnection by repairing relationships when harm occurs while proactively building and maintaining relationships to prevent future harm" (Amplify RJ).
