Events:

4-6 PM: Community Drum Circle with Haitian elder Samba Zao and Stuart Paton of Burlington Taiko, Arts Bus and kids activities.

6-8 PM Lakou Mizik Performance

Food & drink will be available 4-8pm: Haitian dishes prepared by band members & Wood-fired Pizza by Fat Dragon Farm. BarnArts will be selling Maple Lemonade, Ice Tea & and other NA beverages. BYOB.

BarnArts Global Music Residency: We are pleased to welcome Lakou Mizik back to the Upper Valley for an extended community residency this April and May to kick-off BarnArts Global Music Residency, an annual residency program with an international musical group. Lakou Mizik is located locally from April 18-22, and May 9-24, engaging in a variety of performances and workshops. The band's first performance took place at Pentangle Arts on April 22! Workshops with Lakou Mizik are scheduled for Barnard Academy, WUHSMS, Hartford HS & MS, Sharon Academy, Sharon Elementary, Zack's Place/Artistree, Tunbridge Elementary, Chelsea Elementary & North Chapel. This residency is made possible by an array of collaborators including New England Foundation for the Arts, Vermont Arts Council, Pentangle Arts, Artisree and many BarnArts supporters.
