A Walk and Talk in Starksboro Town Forest, May 14th at 10am
Join Robert Turner for a family-friendly walk in the Starksboro Town Forest in Hillsboro. Robert will share his favorite places, trees, and stories from his three-decade connection to this place, both as a forester and as its caretaker. The wildflowers will be up, we'll visit some vernal pools, a bear tree, and the old homesteads. Oh, and there will be birds! Plan on a couple of hours of easy walking.
Please register with the library via telephone 453-3732 or by email. We'll meet at the bottom of Hillsboro Road and coordinate carpooling to the site. Vehicles with moderate ground clearance are preferred. Craft and tree planting kits available at the library in advance.
