The Newbury Book Discussion Group's next meeting is Thursday, June 2nd from 7-8PM at the Tenney Memorial Library. In a nod to the local news, we are reading "A Libertarian Walks Into a Bear; The Utopian Plot to Liberate an American Town (And Some Bears)" by Matthew Hongoltz-Hetling - the sometimes funny, sometimes terrifying tale of what happens when a government disappears into the woods. Complete with gunplay, adventure, and backstabbing politicians, this is the ultimate story of a quintessential American experiment - to live free or die, perhaps from a bear. (From Public Affairs website). Borrow a copy of the book from your local library and join us on the 2nd. We're always happy to welcome new members.
