Bakersfield Historical Society Announces Meeting

The Bakersfield Historical Society will host the Spring Meeting of Green Mountain Folklore Society on May 14, 2022 at 80 East Bakersfield Road in Bakersfield. The Green Mountain Folklore Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1948 with the purpose to collect, preserve and make available the folklore of the State of Vermont for all of us, and future generations.

The Bakersfield event starts promptly at 9-10 a.m. with a Social Hour including coffee/tea and muffins followed by a Business Meeting from 10-11 am. A Gab Fest from 11-Noon, allows participants to share folklore, photos, poems, and local artifacts with the GMFS.

Lunch, prepared by Bakersfield Historical Society for $7, will take place between noon and 1 p.m. then the Historical Society will facilitate a presentation about local historic barns and farms. Door prizes will also be drawn.
