Visiting Artists Gwenyth Chao (Vancouver, Canada) and Marguerite Elliot (Bay Area, California) invite you to a free Pop-Up Art Event at the Village Green.
We have been making experimental eco-paper at the Vermont Studio Center residency and would like to show you how to make your own paper out of local materials such as leaves, grass and wildflower seeds. You can even make paper out of just vegetables! The paper square will then be made into a quilt and planted in a locally where the seeds and greens will dissolve into the earth.
No art-expertise or supplies required, just bring yourself and a friend! Come be part of our garden quilt.
For up-to-date event information, follow Gwenyth (@ponderare) and Marguerite (@marguerite101) on instagram. To learn more about their art practice, visit www.gwenythchao.com and www.margueriteelliot.com.
Special thanks to Kyle at Minema Gallery, staff at the Johnson Library, Sue from the Tree Board for their support and Johnson Hardware for sponsoring our event!
