Slow Birding: Reimagining our Connection with Birds with Bridget Butler, Bird Diva.
Bridget Butler introduces Slow Birding, a practice that builds a deeper, mindful observation of birds with the intention of knowing more about the whole bird rather than just the identification. For both beginning and experienced birders, Slow Birding uses the "sit-spot" method of observation and offers a more relaxed way to see birds with a fresh perspective. Optional 15-minute participative "sit-spot" session prior to the talk 6:00-6:15 p.m. outside the library's north entrance (bring a chair for the outside session).
Free. Pre-registration suggested. To register or for more information on the talks, visit https://southherolibrary.org/worthen-summer-speaker-series/. Questions email worthenlibrary@gmail.org or call the Library at (802) 372-6209.
