Ride of Silence for Bicyclists on May 18

Past event
May 18, 2022, 6 to 7 PM

Please join us for a silent bicycle ride to remember cyclists, pedestrians and other road users who have been injured or killed in accidents on the roads. As spring advances and more bicyclists and pedestrians start to use the roads for recreation and transportation, we want to raise awareness that we all share our public roads.

This year, I'm planning a considerably shorter bike ride than in past years. We will assemble at Depot Square, by the fountain, and will ride a little over a mile to Mount Hope Cemetery, near the Rt.12/Rt. 12A split. There, we'll spend a little time remembering those we've lost and sharing our experiences on the roads, before riding back.

As the name says, this will be a silent ride; we'll be riding at a moderate speed and staying together as a group. All riders are required to wear helmets. Please contact me with any questions by clicking the "Email Author" button, or call me: 802-225-8921
