Gardening with Charlie Nardozzi at the MCL

Past event
May 14, 2022, 11 AM

Join local VPR and WCAX gardening expert Charlie Nardozzi at the Morristown Centennial Library for an informative talk. The event will be held outside if weather permits.

Many gardeners are using raised beds to grow vegetables, flowers and herbs. Charlie will talk about the different materials to use in a raised bed with the advantages and disadvantages of each. He'll also share the advantages of raised bed gardening and how to maximize the planting space. Finally, Charlie will also cover maintaining a raised bed garden including planting schemes, fertilizing, and weeding. Q/A is always welcome.

This program is held as part of our new initiative to bring raised beds to the Morristown Centennial Library. A spirited group of volunteers and staff, with the help of generous donations and library funding, are working to construct the raised beds in the next few weeks. Over the summer, children will be invited to help plant and maintain the beds, build pollinator homes, and create a vibrant, living space that is welcome to all. Stay tuned to hear more and additional participants are always welcome to join the effort!
