Please join us Saturday, May 7th from 10am-noon to help prepare our gardens to grow delicious and healthy food for community members in need. Last year we donated almost 900 lbs. of produce! We'll be mulching walkways, composting our raised rows, and learning about no-till gardening methods. No experience is needed, just a positive attitude and willingness to help move compost, mulch, and wood chips. Feel free to bring your own gardening tools and gardening gloves if you have them.
Many Vermont gardening groups and organizations provide food and social connections for thousands of people, including children and families at risk for food insecurity without access to a garden. The Gardens at Yellow Barn Farm, a non-profit all-volunteer group in Arlington VT is one such organization. Please join us to kick off another great growing season! Questions?
