Cabot Bird Walk May 15

Past event

May 15, 7AM-9:00AM

Join the Cabot Conservation Committee for an early morning bird walk near Joe's Pond on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. The walk will be leisurely, short, and flat, and you will hear and see an abundance of birds in this diverse habitat. This walk is for all levels of birding knowledge. We conducted a bird walk at the same location last year, but in June, so we expect to see birds that we didn't see last year.

Directions: Park at the Passumpsic Valley Land Trust access on Channel Drive. Channel Drive is 2.2 miles west from the junction of Routes 2 and 15, or 3.3 miles east from the junction of Routes 15 and 215. The parking area is 0.4 mile down Channel Drive.

Note: Parking is limited so we urge you to carpool. You can also access our starting point by biking along the rail trail from West Danville. Please try to arrive on time, or bit early, so we can get off to an early start when the birds are most active. Bring binoculars if you have them, we will also have spotting scopes.
