Here's a GREAT opportunity to GREEN up our beautiful town! Please join in to cover every mile of our many miles of roadsides.

I was pleasantly surprised that VTrans has gone through Newfane on Route 30 cleaning it up; therefore, it is much cleaner than usual. Unfortunately, a little trash has since been thrown onto the roadside. A few boxes could be the result of a dump trip gone wrong. I also see some trash over the guard rails where it is safer to pick it up while cars go by.

Of course, Green Up is not just one day. Green Up bags are available at the Newfane Store, on the front porch of the Town Office building, of Williamsville Hall, and the Old South Newfane School. Feel free to take those you will use, fill them, and leave them on the side of the road. All bags need to be on the roadside by 7 a.m. Monday, May 9th.
