The Johnson Tree Board welcomes everybody to the Johnson Arboretum on Saturday, May 7 for a celebration of trees. They'll plant 4 unusual and interesting trees at 1:00 (ever see a tree shaped like a mop?), then 4 more at 2:30. There will be plenty of activities for the kids with Kristen McDowell- name the weird tree contest, story time, a story walk, planting kits, and a tree scavenger hunt- and refreshments. Anyone wishing to plant, mulch, or fence the new trees is welcome to get their hands in but it's not required. Hang out, enjoy the trees, learn something fun along the way, and see the many things going on at the Arb.
Rain date is Saturday, May 14; same time.
We hope to see you there!
