We invite attendees to join us in Battell Woods on the Trail Around Middlebury. Rain or shine, plan to wear weather/hike appropriate gear and bring a smart phone. Meg will provide an introduction to the iNaturalist app, teach you about the fascinating world of fungi and mushrooms, and give tips on how to take photos for high quality research-grade observations. More details will be sent after registration.

Middlebury VT native Meg Madden channels her life-long passion for art and nature into her photographs of mushrooms and other fascinating organisms discovered on her hikes around Vermont. Meg shares her photos and knowledge of the natural world on her popular Instagram account @megmaddendesign. Her photos can be found popping up in mushroom identification apps, online photography tutorials, and in print and web-based educational materials.
