Poet, publisher and traveler Michael Czarnecki will leads a workshop on writing Haiku May 14. "Haiku: Anyone Can Write It," sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bennington, is open to the public. It will be held on Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m. at the UU Meetinghouse, 108 School St., Bennington.

Haiku is written all over the world and is a simple and wonderful way to relate our experiences with nature. Michael has been writing haiku for decades. In this workshop he'll explain what haiku is, share haiku from various poets and then we'll write our own haiku, maybe even from outside. Open to all levels of writing ability.

The workshop will be limited to 15 people. To enroll email to info@uubennington.org. The fee is $10, payable in advance. Proof of vaccination and booster is required to participate.
