Family Nature Walk

Past event
Apr 30, 2022, 10 to 11 AM

Join Maya, Children's Programming Coordinator for the Rochester Library, on a family nature walk this Saturday, April 30, at 10 am. We'll explore the Peavine Trail in Rochester for signs of spring! If you got our last Take and Make, you can bring along your basket to collect a few treasures. And if you have a magnifying glass or binoculars, bring those along, too!

Make time for a stop at the library, to check out some fascinating books about nature, as well as our nature walk backpacks and other science gear, on loan through our Library of Things!

There will be a very special Take and Make kit for all children who participate. How would you like to make A TREE???

We'll meet at the north end of the trail, at the baseball field. Please dress for the weather! The walk will happen in any weather except heavy rain. We'll walk for about half an hour, or until everyone has had enough!

Walk and associated activities are geared for those younger than 10 years. This program is for children WITH a responsible adult.

Please reserve your space by Thursday, 4/28. Space is limited. Call or email to RSVP or for more info: 767-3927, rochesterpubliclibraryVT@gmail.com.
