The Newbury Woman's Club is sponsoring a big spring flea market at the Old Village Church on the Newbury Common on Saturday, May 21st from 9AM-1PM. We will be offering both our "by donation" flea tables and tables with higher quality, priced items. Additionally, we will sponsor our very popular baked goods table and a plant sale.
New this spring, we are offering free spots on the Common in front of the Church building to local non-profits to host their own sales and informational tables. (**See below).
We will be accepting donations for the market this Sunday, May 1st from 1-3PM. If you have clean, usable items that still have some life in them, they can be dropped off at the Old Village Church at that time. Please no clothing, videotapes, broken or damaged goods! We will have 2 additional drop-off opportunities on Sunday, May 15th from 1-3PM and on Friday, May 20th from 5-6PM. If you have plants you would like to donate, please bring them to the drop-off on the 20th.
** All local NON-PROFITS are invited to join the Woman's Club event and set up a tent and/or tables outside on the Common in front of the Old Village Church to publicize their mission and to sell merch. Set-up can be any time after 8:00 AM on May 21st. The Flea Market event opens to the public at 9:00 and runs until1:00. All proceeds from this market go to our various charitable causes including the flower box project in Newbury Village, maintenance and upkeep of the historic Old Village Church building and donations to several community non-profit organizations.
