The Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE) is working with area restaurants to create an alternative to the former Hardwick Community Dinners during the pandemic. Participating restaurants are paid by CAE thanks to funding from Everyone Eats, a project of Southeastern Vermont Community Action. Ten percent of the ingredients in meals must come from local farms.

Everyone has somehow been affected by COVID-19 financially, by extra time demands, by more difficult transportation, by safety concerns, etc. For the grant requirements, by registering for meals a person acknowledges their food access has been affected by the pandemic in any number of ways.
