In 2021 we identified 129 species of wildflowers in Tunbridge.
The 2022 wildflower season is already upon us with the Spring Ephemerals - wildflowers that bloom before the trees have leafed out and then go dormant. Believe it or not before May 1 last year we had already documented 18 different wildflowers!
The Tunbridge Conservation Commission and Vermont Coverts invites the community to a walk in Larry Mengedoht's woods to look at and identify wild flowers on his 110 acre parcel. The walk will be led by Betsy Gaiser and Eliza Minnucci, Tunbridge Conservation Commission.
We will walk along the trails in and out of the woods, along streams and open areas and may also visit a vernal pool.
