NAMI Vermont is excited to announce that our 2022 Pathways to Wellness Conference will be held virtually over 2 half-days! This annual event will feature amazing lineups of locally and nationally-known speakers who will share recent research and lived experience stories. This year's lineup will include:
May 4, from 12:00 pm – 3:45 pm
Bessel van der Kolk, MD – A clinician, researcher, author, and teacher who has spent his career studying how children and adults adapt to traumatic experiences.
Catherine Burns, PhD – Licensed Psychologist Doctorate, and Quality Consultant for Vermont Care Partners, will talk about Compassion Fatigue.
May 18, from 8:45 am – 12:30 pm
Kevin Hines – Activist, public speaker and author/filmmaker of the documentary "Suicide: the Ripple Effect" will share his personal story about surviving a suicide attempt off the Golden Gate Bridge. (This will be a live presentation only with no recording.)
Panel Discussion on Reimagining Crisis Intervention – This panel will include Mourning Fox, Vermont Department of Public Safety Director of Mental Health, Terri Lavely, Northeast Kingdom Human Services, Training, Development and Advancement, and Gloria van den Berg, Executive Director of Alyssum.
Registration is now open at www.namivt.org/conference. Registration is $25 for NAMI Vermont Members, $45 for Non-Members and will include recordings for all speakers except Kevin Hines. Scholarships and group registration rates for 10+ are available. CEUs for LCMHCs and Social Workers are pending and will be offered at no additional fee this year. CEUs are also available at no additional cost for Recovery Coaches.
