Hi! My name is Miriam Serota-Winston and I am with the Vermont Youth Lobby, a grassroot organization composed of and run by high school students.

Right now, we are in the midst of planning the annual Rally for the Planet event which students from all across Vermont are invited to attend. The event will consist of a march from Montpelier High School to the State House (about a 15 minute walk) starting at 10:00 with the majority of the event taking place on the State House lawn. Some of the activities happening there will include a Green Jobs Fair featuring various institutions, speeches presented by high school students, teach-ins (a place to learn more about specific topics in a discussion based environment) plus more! The event will end at around 1:30.
