MANI AND TWIZZLER ARE TURNING ONE YEAR OLD!!!!!!!
If these kittens had been born outside and stayed outside, neither would have made it to a year old. They wouldn't have even survived their first month without human intervention. (To see photos of them, visit fromferaltofamily.org, or find us on facebook/instagram @fromferaltofamilyvt)
Mani has a birth deformity in both of her front legs; neither developed properly from the elbow joint down. Her mama immediately rejected her, exactly one year ago today. She hadn't even chewed her cord, and this baby was cold to the touch. She is a survivor. So sweet, so strong, and so full of love and inspiration. And alive only because she was born at From Feral to Family Headquarters and helped by the humans, rather than where her mother spent the majority of her pregnancy before they trapped her.
Twizzler had some sort of brain injury that presented around 2 weeks of age. We got to help him learn how to walk! For months, we thought he would be a wobbly boy forever, and maybe fall behind the others, but he prowls the cat room and you'd only notice something a little off when he gets REALLY tired.
We are hoping to be able to help more kittens this kitten season with funds raised during this SHORT TERM (04/18-04/21) birthday fundraiser. Every penny is deeply appreciated. Please go to the link to donate through facebook to have fees covered: https://www.facebook.com/donate/733695784677632/
