Join us for an exciting biodiversity health care workshop where you can discover how to nurture a symbiotic relationship between our ecosystem and community.
Naturalist Emily Curtis-Murphy and students from Adventure Club, a forest afterschool program based on Ascutney Mountain, will teach us how to care for wild landscapes using mutually beneficial techniques based on traditional indigenous knowledge.
Family-friendly activities will include managing invasive species, foraging wild edibles, and creating a bumblebee and firefly habitat. There will be a composting demonstration, seed swap, refreshments, and more! We'll also collect and disperse seeds to support native plant adaptation at pace with climate change.
Attendees will be entered to win one of three Brownsville Butcher & Pantry gift cards! Please bring a water bottle, tick-friendly gear and natural repellant, and gardening tools or a hand saw. Tools will be provided at the event, but you may prefer to bring your own.
Please RSVP here if you plan to attend! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdizqVr4O8MeuIA3ojItzrXbvWUEOK_nwXE-_7NTv1al2feBw/viewform
