Past event
Jun 14, 2014

For more than 200 years, the American flag has been the symbol of our nation's strength and unity. It's been a source of pride and inspiration for millions of citizens. The American Flag has been a prominent icon in our national history.

Bristol Post 19 of The American Legion, Department of Vermont is proud to present the Flag of our Nation, as experienced by the citizens of our great Nation. On Flag Day, June 14, 2014, a display of American Flags, flags which have personal historic significance and flags which are individually historically significant will be presented to the public at Bristol Post 19 between the hours of 2 and 4 PM. At 4 PM a mass gathering will recite the Pledge Allegiance immediately preceding the Ceremony for the Disposal of Unserviceable Flags.

All members of our 5 town community are asked and encouraged to not only attend, but participate by bringing your personal National Colors to display for the afternoon. Please bring your children to participate in this patriotic event. For more information, please visit our website at bristolamericanlegion.com or call us at 453-2591.
