The Stockbridge Meeting House is offering the Stop The Bleed: Bleeding Control Course for Stockbridge and surrounding communities.

In an emergency scenario, you have the ability to save a life. No matter how rapid the arrival of professional emergency responders, bystanders will always be first on the scene.

Stop The Bleed (www.bleedingcontrol.org) is a national campaign started by the White House to address the most common cause of preventable trauma death in the U.S.: uncontrolled bleeding. This course will teach you how to use compression and tourniquets to control bleeding. We want to ensure our community has the opportunity to get this training. The Stockbridge Meeting House is hosting this free program in collaboration with the University of Vermont Medical Center.

The course is open to all but we need to limit participation to 25 due to space. Training is about one hour and consists of a video, presentation, discussion and hands-on skill stations. You will get a printable digital certificate once you have completed the course.

If you wish to participate, direct message me (Irene Sinteff) with your name and email to get your name on our list. If we exceed the 25, we will note your interest fire future scheduling so.
