On Tuesday, April 19 from 7-8:30pm, Russ Campbell will present a very special program for the Grafton Public Library on Zoom. Russ is the devoted owner of four African Grey Parrots. He will share his parrots online and discuss their behavior and care—drawing from his many years of experience working with birds.
In 2009 Irene Pepperberg published a book called Alex and Me, featuring her work with an African Grey Parrot. Their many video clips delighted, charmed and astonished viewers and introduced African Greys to many. Alex the Parrot
While not all African Greys have Alex's ability, each one is a fascinating creature. Russ will relate anecdotes about his own birds' communication and other engrossing behaviors—and you may have a chance to hear one of them speak!
