Spirit Traffic Book Reading and Party

Past event
Apr 30, 2022, 1:30 to 5 PM

Hello neighbors!

Our friend, C. Jane Taylor, whose new book, Spirit Traffic - A Woman's Journey of Self-Discovery and Letting Go, is coming out from Magic Hill Press this month. As part of her North American book tour with the mission of Inspiring Adventure, Jane is giving salon readings at select homes - ours is one of them!

Here's a description of the book:
Spirit Traffic recounts how, at the age of 50, Jane learned to ride a motorcycle, overcame the terror of navigating her steep dirt driveway in Vermont, and, three days after her son's college graduation, set off with him and her yoga-teacher husband (his stepdad) on a 10,000-mile adventure that took them all—each on their own bike—into uncharted territory as novice riders, and as a family. As if in the saddle of her BMW, the reader will experience the good, the bad, and the heartbreak of her journey as a soon-to-be-empty-nester grappling with impermanence, sexuality, hot flashes, high winds, and tailgating tour buses.

This is a free event which will include a reading and spirited Q&A with Jane, then she will sign your copy of Spirit Traffic. Your stories will follow! You are invited to share a Moth-Style personal story (5 minutes without notes) on the theme "Adventure As I See It." It will be fun to hear everyone's story of adventure…as you see it! We will close out with music and general springtime merriment in the barn.

All are welcome to attend . If you are interested in joining us, send me an email and I will forward you the Evite with more information and an RSVP so we can get a good head count. Hope to see some of you neighbors soon!
